My 1st Gluten Free Expo

Alright everyone this post is a few weeks behind, and I apologize for the late post, but I attened my 1st expo last month. !! It was amazing to see all these companies displaying their products, and giving out samples. I definitely was not hungry, after walking around for a few hours. The easiest way to explain all the fun I had is in pictures, so this post is going to be mainly pictures. I met a lot of great people including a few bloggers. A huge super big thank you to Angela (http://celiachashigirl.com/) Esther (http://theglutenconundrum.com/)  Tiffany (http://vphonegirl.blogspot.com/) for all of you information, and wonderful hospitality. These ladies are amazing and inspire me to be a better blogger, and learn more about my Gluten Allergy.
So with out further ado, let the pictures begin !!

This year the GF & AF Expo was held at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in San Diego. The weather was great, and the drive down from Northern Orange County was filled with great scenic views of the ocean.

I was only able to attend Tiffany Hinton's Class, which was about how to stop poisoning your child, and how to avoid cross contamination at home. Her story hit home, and made realize just how much I did not know about Gluten, and cross contamination. You can visit Tiffany on her blog http://vphonegirl.blogspot.com/, follow her on Twitter https://twitter.com/gfmomcertified and I believe she also has a Instagram and a Periscope account.

Tiffany's 2 books that I purchased, which I can not wait to try out, and her Class I went to.

Tiffany +GF Mom Certified and I at the Expo

Freedom Food Cereal is amazing, and the Company is from Australia. They also make Granola bars, Smudge (Think nutella but better), and pancake mix. All the Cereals are Gluten/Nut/ and Dairy free.

Spinato's is a Pizzeria Company Located in Arizona, who also produces Gluten free sauces, dressings and pizza. Their products can be found at Sprouts.
Smart Flour foods (http://www.smartflourfoods.com/) makes not only pizza but also pizza crust, all of which are gluten free. They can be found at Whole foods, Sprouts, and a few other stores.
BFree (https://us.bfreefoods.com/foods) makes not only bread, but also wraps and rolls. They are from Ireland, and are Gluten free, Dairy Free, Egg free and Vegan. They also taste amazing !!
Potapoas Tortillas (http://potapas.com/) are gluten, dairy, nut and soy free. They offered Sweet Potato tortillas at the expo, and I may have come home with a few packs. They are actually really soft like flour tortillas and make a mean quesadilla.
Miltons Baking Company (http://www.miltonsbaking.com/locations) offers a wide selection of gluten free crackers and cookies. My friend uses the cookies for smores when camping.
Beanfields (http://www.beanfieldssnacks.com/) was on hand with a whole slew of their bean and rice gluten free chips. The Pico de Gallo ones are my favorite !!
My Sister in-law was able to join me on day 2, and so I made her go around and take pictures with me. Plus side she got to eat yummy food along the way as well.
Three Bakers (https://threebakers.com/) brought a bunch of bread samples. The rye bread was amazing.
La Brea Bakery (https://www.labreabakery.com/) brought their brand new gluten free white and multi grain breads to try.
Angela (http://celiachashigirl.com/) and I at the Expo. She is amazing and you can follow her on Instagram as well.

My friend brought her daughter and she loved the Glutino crackers, Baby Mum Mums crackers and Kombucha Soda live. Little Miss Claire has a dairy and gluten allergy, but she was more than happy to try everything !! She also ate a chia seed energy bar and didn't fall asleep till about 11pm that night.

Look at all these goodies !! There is so much in those 3 bags and the cooler. Cant wait to try all these new things and share them with friends and family that also have allergies.

I must say overall that had a amazing time !! I only had one reaction, and that was to something that I really truly liked, but it had sulfates in it and I didn't know. Other than been a little itchy and red this expo was completely worth the experience. I brought home bags of goodies, and new information. If you ever get the chance to attend any GFAF Expo, you will surely enjoy your time.

Till next time,
Jen
